Retirement Announcement

To our valued advertisers,
It is with mixed emotions that I draft this letter to you. Effective April 1, 2019, I am retiring as advertising sales representative for the Grain Farmers of Ontario. I am grateful that I have been able to share the many experiences we have had, though saddened that this chapter is ending.
For over 33 years in the media business it has been a rewarding experience; now is the time for me to pass the torch. It has been a privilege and honour to work with you, most recently with the Ontario Grain Farmer magazine and the March Classic. We have shared the ups and downs in this great business of agriculture, through which I could always count on your support and for that I am truly appreciative. I would be remiss if I did not thank the Grain Farmers of Ontario for entrusting me with the opportunity to represent them since their inception. Working together to build the Ontario Grain Farmer magazine and the March Classic has been a rush and so very rewarding. Neither would be where they are today without your support. Thank you.
Going forward, I plan to spend more time on our farm, take some vacations, set my phone down occasionally, and go to agriculture trade shows (as an attendee!). My heart is in agriculture and it will always remain to be a major part of my life. While I will miss the day to day interactions and challenges, I am looking forward to a slower pace, spending more time with my wife Cheryl, and our family.
As we work through the transition, I would like to introduce you to Victoria Berry, Manager of Communications at Grain Farmers of Ontario and Rachel Telford, Managing Editor of the Ontario Grain Farmer magazine. Victoria and Rachel will be your primary contacts after April 1. They look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your communications and promotional needs.
